Lanesboro artist Tracey Lambrecht finds inspiration for her art in the simple things. A lone tree in a pasture, cattle peacefully grazing, a lovely landscape or the changing colors of a sunset. She loves to work outdoors, capturing her ideas on paper before the light changes. As a primarily self-taught artist, she honed her craft through trial and error and dreams of someday studying in Europe. Eventually, she came full circle – back to passion for drawing, particularly in soft pastels rich with color. Through her work, she encourages people to slow down and notice the simple things. She sees her work as a reflection of what touches her soul and makes her feel fortunate to be alive.
