Over the years Ron’s photography has gone through some transformations, from traditional to more painterly photo impressionism. He continuously strives to make his images uniquely different. A good friend of his said, “He’s a photographer with a painter’s soul.” He has been a photographer for over 30 years and has seen big changes in the last ten years. Photography has moved from the traditional film to the digital age. Computers and imaging software have expanded photographers’ horizons and many are riding the crest of this new frontier. It feels good to him to be part of this exciting experience. Where this journey will end up, he doesn’t have a clue, but he is enjoying the ride! The process of creating his work is not magic. It can, however, be a struggle at times to create his vision. The camera is a vessel that captures his idea. When that idea is released into Photoshop it allows him to transform that idea into an image that many times amazes even him! Photoshop is to him what the painter’s pallet is to a painter.
