Linda studied Art Education at the University of Minnesota, and though she loved teaching, she went on to get her Master’s in Textile Design. That led her to teach Surface Design at the U of M, and COMPAS in St. Paul, while trying to maintain her studio. After some time she decided the studio career needed her full attention. She exclaims, “every day is a new day.” Currently her designs appear in the form of hand-dyed silk scarves and sewn and painted greeting cards. Her style was characterized by a professor as influenced by her “kicky sense of humor.” They described her as loving life, loving depicting it in her art and loving the way she sees it.
