At 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, enjoy an evening of upbeat blues music with the Rutabaga Brothers at the historic St. Mane Theatre. Performing R&B and Motown tunes with selections by artists like Wilson Picket, Muddy Waters, The Blues Brothers, B.B. King, Jimmy Reed, and more, the Rutabaga Brothers will make you want to dance to their soulful tunes because “Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues.”

Mariah Ciangiola graduated with a BFA in Musical Theater from Ithaca College and is the lead vocalist in the Rutabaga Brothers. She has traveled nationally and internationally performing a variety of musical genres from jazz, the blues, and the classics.
David Harrenstein has played in bands throughout Iowa and Minnesota since the mid-1970s. Harrenstein’s passion for diverse music is evident in his keyboard playing and vocals. He not only loves classical and operatic music, but also the blues, Motown, Outlaw Country, and Cajun music.
Craig Johnson has been the steady rhythm of many ensembles and genres in Southeast Minnesota. When he is not in the band, he also plays drums with a variety of community theater orchestras for musical theaters.
Gary Marcoux loves the blues and is Southeast Minnesota’s up-and-coming blues guitarist. By day, Marcoux is also a dentist.
John Gaddo is a versatile musician in the Rutabaga Brothers. While he began playing the congas in the band, he quickly added bass, keyboard, and even trumpet to his repertoire.
Keith Zeller is an accomplished jazz, rock, and country guitarist who plays with many groups in Southeast Minnesota. Keith has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mid-American Music Hall of Fame and is a member of the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Lee Loerch helps make the Rutabaga Brothers a true blues band through his wailing and soulful harmonica playing.
Nathan Davidson, a retired high school music teacher, puts the rock into rockin’ blues in his saxophone playing. Davidson also plays with the Lost Faculties Band and the CBB Jazz Combo.
Noah Short is an accomplished guitarist, bassist, and drummer. Through his musicianship, Short anchors the Rutabaga Brothers through his bass playing and vocals.
Phil Dybing uses Classic Concert Enhancement to enhance the Rutabaga Brother’s iconic sound. Dybing’s work allows each of the band’s notes to be heard and experienced in a personal way by the audience.
This event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

- The St. Mane Theatre box office will open at 6:00 p.m. the day of the event. Tickets will also be sold in-person beginning at that time.
- Each ticket purchased with a bank card will be charged an additional processing fee of $0.99. Patrons can avoid this processing fee by paying via cash or check in the Lanesboro Arts Gallery, or before the event in the St. Mane Theatre lobby.
- If you are unable to purchase tickets online or need additional assistance, you may try calling 507-467-2446 to purchase a ticket over the phone during business hours. Tickets are also sold in-person during business hours at Lanesboro Arts Gallery.
- We will have a list of the ticket buyer names at the box office beginning at 6:30 p.m. If the buyer and their guests arrive together, no physical receipt or proof of purchase is needed in order to be admitted to the event–we will have a list!
- Alternatively, attendees can present a printed copy of the ticket PDF the ticket buyer was e-mailed or simply pull it up and present it on a smart device.
