Lanesboro Arts hosts brilliant beadwork artist, Meg Veitenheimer, for an artist demonstration at the Gallery on September 16th from 1 – 4 pm. Stop by to learn from an artist at work, ask questions about her process, and shop her beautiful jewelry!

Meg Elaine Veitenheimer is the artist behind Nellie G Mae beadwork. She is a queer, mixed Ojibwe artist who is a proud citizen of Red Lake Nation. Meg experiences beading as a healing act of reclamation, and views her beadwork as one-of-a-kind wearable art.

Meg says that her process teaches her how to pay attention within each moment. It reminds her the way her life is woven together with her relatives. She am often inspired by color, fluidity, flowers, joy, shapes, balance, contrast, movement, water, space, light, fire, and the hope she feels while creating.
