Lanesboro Arts is thrilled to present Little Tanz Theater’s dance adaptation of Hershel & The Hanukkah Goblins at the St. Mane Theatre at 7 pm on Friday, December 4th!
Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins is a folk ballet for the young and the young at heart, based on the classic children’s book by Eric Kimmel and Trina Schart Hyman. In the story, Hershel of Ostropol—a wandering trickster from Eastern European jewish folklore–saves a village in Ukraine from a pack of Hanukkah-hating goblins who have been wreaking havoc on the holiday festivities. Choreographed and directed by Hannah MacKenzie-Margulies and featuring a multi-generational cast of Twin Cities based dance artists and live music from the Eyn Tsvey Dreydel klezmer band, this production runs approximately 50 minutes.
Tickets are on sale now for $25 General Admission, $22 Lanesboro Arts Members, $5 for ages 12-18, free for youth under 12.
