  • Lanesboro Arts Gallery + Google Map

Join us for a free to the public capstone event celebrating fiber artist Stena Lieb’s exploration of mindfully harvested natural fibers on Saturday, July 12th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Lanesboro Arts Gallery, 103 Parkway Avenue North, Lanesboro, MN. Lieb will share her new body of work, which includes everything from mushroom papers to cordage from flowers to wool weavings! She will have papers, artworks, and raw materials on display to showcase the entire exploration process.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through the Minnesota State Arts Board and a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.

About the Project: Fibers from the Forest and Farm

Fibers from the Forest and Farm is an original art celebration of fibers harvested from local forests or grown to use from Lieb’s family farm. This new body of work was created using mushrooms, flowers, wool and more that have woven together into a celebration of the textures of the driftless landscape.
