Christine Tierney and Michelle Combs share a passion for painting beautiful expressions of the world around them. While they were both classically trained in the tradition of the Old Masters, they have each forged their own individual paths in the art world. Some of their paintings are done outdoors in the elements, where mother nature calls the shots, and some are painted in the comfort of their studios, with controlled temperature and lighting. Like handwriting, the artistic expression created when wielding a paintbrush will always carry the personal touch of the one that created it. Their works exhibited together complement each other and provide the viewer with two unique interpretations of People, Places and Things.
An artist reception opens the show on Saturday, October 21 from 6:00 to 8:00, featuring refreshments and live jazz by Dave O’Mara and friends. The exhibit closes on December 23.
