A documentary film created in 2016 by 14 year old Lanesboro student Nora S. through the support of the Smithsonian Institute's Museum on Main Street Program.
Agriculture and century farms are explored in Nora’s film, from highlighting Future Farmers of America in the schools to talking with 3rd and 4th generation family farmers to visiting the Lanesboro Sales Commission auction house. This story also takes a closer look at what’s happening with farming right now and the challenges and opportunities that farmers may face in the future.
When Nora was searching for a topic for her documentary, she looked around Lanesboro to see what was going on in the community. “There’s a lot of tourism, but there’s a lot of agriculture in the background,” she said.
