From 1998 to 2015, the Picture Parade arts education program placed trained volunteers in local elementary classrooms to lead art history lessons, discussions, and hands-on art projects. By sharing art, activities and discussion with young people, Picture Parade helped build self-awareness, critical-thinking, observation skills, vocabulary, and cultural knowledge.
