Delia first tried her hand at pottery in the spring of 2019 when, on a whim, she took Bob Banker’s Ceramics 1 at RCTC. She was completely mesmerized by clay and everything that one could do with it. She went on to apprentice with Mary Denzer of Seven Bridges Potter. Delia has been working as a potter ever since.
Her work is mostly wheel throne stoneware vessels that are meant to be functional. Although, she does like to experiment with other clay bodies, construction methods, and various decoration techniques. He work is always evolving, but she ultimately wants to create pottery that people both appreciate as a piece of art and will make use of in their everyday lives.
