Visit Lanesboro Arts during your tour! Lanesboro Arts is a multidisciplinary arts organization with a passion for engaging the community. The Lanesboro Arts Gallery strives to present accessible and diverse artwork that fosters education and inspiration for visitors and uplifts local artists. Visitors will find artwork for sale in nearly every conceivable medium by Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin-based artists, including many artists from Lanesboro!
The Lanesboro Arts Gallery will be open from 10 am to 5 pm each day of the tour. From 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 27th, skilled wood turner Jerry Ritter will be in our gallery demonstrating his craft from 11 am – 3 pm. Jerry revels in the beauty that lies within a block of wood, and enjoys bringing it to life in his clever pieces.
Lanesboro Art’s Exhibition Gallery space also presents a series of solo and group art exhibits each year that initiate enriching discussion and connection. Located at 103 Parkway Avenue North in downtown Lanesboro, the Lanesboro Arts Gallery is a longstanding local arts hub. The historic 1879 brick building began as a general mercantile, supplying the town with its essential dry goods, fabric, and candy. In the 1990s, a group of artists opened a gallery there, representing the very beginnings of Lanesboro Arts. In 2014, the building underwent historic restoration, enhancing the facade and installing a grand entrance with 10-foot doors. Today, 103 Parkway houses the Lanesboro Arts Juried Sales and Exhibition Galleries, which are open year-round!
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Additional support provided by the River Arts Alliance.
