Lanesboro Community Theatre presents Larry Shue’s The Nerd at the St. Mane Theatre the first two weekends in March. The Nerd centers on the hilarious dilemma of young architect, Willum Cubbert, who must unexpectedly play host to a fellow ex-GI who he has never met, but who saved his life in the Vietnam war. Follow the side-splitting shenanigans that ensue as Willum and his friends juggle pranks, patience, and priorities when this house guest overstays his welcome.
There are six chances to see this hysterical play. Tickets are on sale now for 7:00 pm on Friday, March 1st; Saturday, March 2nd; Friday, March 8th; and Saturday, March 9th; or 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 3rd and Sunday, March 10th.
Buy your tickets at the door or online at the link above for $15.
Formed in 2004, Lanesboro Community Theater’s first productions were melodramas held in Sylvan Park and the Sons of Norway hall, and later, two-act plays presented each February and March at the St. Mane Theatre. The Lanesboro Community Theater added a summer musical at the St. Mane Theatre to its repertoire in 2011, and in 2012, a September silent movie night in Sylvan Park, which stars local citizens.
