Stop by the Lanesboro Arts Sales Gallery to see fiber artist, Gabriel Berg, in action! Gabriel will demonstrate how he creates his mesmerizing string mandalas. Stop in to learn from an artist at work, ask questions, and find his vibrant artwork for sale!

Gabriel Berg works with various threads, creating a connection from the artwork to the viewer through sacred geometry and mandala work. Through symmetry and patience, he creates highly detailed works of art that exude a sense of spiritual calm. He hand patterns, designs, and crafts support for the delicate threads and fibers that he weaves into detailed and colorful creations.

Gabriel began making artwork in 2019 after he was diagnosed with a disabling medical condition that left him unable to continue in his former career. He found a new focus in his career as an artist, showing his artwork at art fairs all around the Midwest. In February 2023, Gabriel was one of seven artists featured in the Lanesboro Arts Emerging Artist Exhibition.

The Lanesboro Arts Gallery features works by over 90 artists from Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. As a multidisciplinary arts organization with a passion for engaging a community with art, the Lanesboro Arts Galleries strive to present accessible and diverse works that foster educational opportunities for visitors as well as impacting artists’ careers.

The event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. The Lanesboro Arts Gallery Artist Demonstrations are made possible through a generous support from the Lanesboro Area Community Foundation.
