Lanesboro Arts invites young artists ages 6 to 12 to explore the art of chance in this free experiential art class lead by Lisa Pahl!
On July 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 in the Second Floor Studio at the St. Mane Theatre, students will fold, draw, drop, and paint their way into a unified abstract composition! This class focuses on the ways that individual inspiration can combine with group collaboration to create an exciting work of abstract art.
Registration for this class is required, however, the class is FREE. Lanesboro Arts will provide all necessary materials. Register now at the “Get Tickets” link above.
The Art of Chance will encourage students to explore a variety of mediums, including paper, oil pastels, acrylic paints, and colored pencils. Because this class will be embracing the unexpected (through folding, combining, dropping, and reshaping everyone’s doodles and drawings into one big work of art), it will provide tools for students to embrace all the happy little accidents andincidental sources of inspiration that come along with art making!
Lisa Pahl is thrilled to be teaching two classes for young artists this summer. Lisa has been teaching on and off throughout her career. Introducing students to a different perspective, expanding their ideas on the creative process is what has kept her coming back to teaching. Working with young people has been the most rewarding part of her career, their enthusiasm is contagious.
