2018 ‘Feats of Clay’ group exhibition at Lanesboro Arts
Calling all visual artists working creatively with ceramics! Lanesboro Arts is inviting artists to submit an application for inclusion in the upcoming ‘Feats of Clay’ exhibit, a juried group show which will run June 23 – August 12, 2018. Artists working in a variety of ceramic art styles are welcome to apply.
Deadline for entries is May 1, 2018. To be considered, artists may e-mail photos of 1-5 entries that are primarily composed of fired clay or clay mixed with other materials, such as earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, and fine china. Examples of ceramic work that would be accepted include, but are not limited to, studio pottery and sculptures, tile murals or mosaics, tableware and figures.
Images e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Feats of Clay’ in the subject line should include the following information for each entry: title, medium, size, dimensions, and retail price. Artists should also submit their mailing address, phone number, website and artist statement. Entries are also accepted via the postal service. Mail a CD or flash drive with high resolution digital images and a hard copy list of the information for each item to Lanesboro Arts, PO Box 152, Lanesboro, MN 55949.
Artists will be notified of acceptance by May 11, 2018. Artwork accepted for the ‘Feats of Clay’ exhibit, must be delivered to Lanesboro Arts by 4 p.m. on Monday, June 18 with title and artist name clearly marked.
Participating artists are invited to be in attendance at the opening reception on Saturday, June 23 from 6-8 p.m. Following the exhibit, work will need to be picked up from the gallery by Tuesday, August 14, 2018. The ‘Feats of Clay exhibit is sponsored by Inspire(d) Magazine and supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board.
