In the summer of 2005, Pete and Bebe Keith pedaled their kayaks on the navigable portion of the Mississippi River, from Minneapolis to New Orleans—well, almost New Orleans. They were forced to exit the river a little early as Hurricane Katrina made landfall. Floating down the river was a lifelong dream, and pedal kayaks turned out to be the perfect human powered travel mode for such an adventure! Join Pete for a presentation on their journey, including tips and tricks!
About Pete Keith: Pete loves travel, especially human powered. He has bicycled, backpacked and canoed all over the country, but also loves a good road trip. He and his wife Bebe currently live in Lanesboro, MN.
