Juried Group Show Call for Entry

Announcing Call for Entries for ‘In the Moonlight’ group Exhibit to be held at Lanesboro Arts – Exhibit will Feature a Variety of Visual Arts in 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Media.

Calling all visual artists in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional media! Lanesboro Arts is inviting artists to submit an application for inclusion in the upcoming ‘In the Moonlight’ exhibit, a juried group show which will run June 18 – August 14, 2016.  Artists working in all visual arts 2D and 3D mediums are welcome to apply.

Deadline for entries is April 16, 2016.  Each artist may submit through email, 1-5 entries to be considered for the exhibit, with each entry featuring–or having something to do with–‘In the Moonlight.’ Examples include a midnight walk under a full moon, sailing on a river in the night, birds flying past the moon, a sculpture of a howling wolf, or a quilt with a midnight scene on it.

For each entry, please submit an image of the work and indicate the title, medium, size, dimension and retail price; include artist name, address, phone, email and website.  Email this information to  gallery@lanesboroarts.org with ‘In the Moonlight’ in the subject line, or call Robbie Brokken at 507-467-2446 for more details and information.  Application can also be mailed via the postal service (in this case please send a CD and written list with the above information) to Lanesboro Arts, PO Box 152, Lanesboro, MN  55949.

Artists will be notified of acceptance by April 26, 2016. Artwork accepted for the ‘In the Moonlight’ exhibit, must be delivered to Lanesboro Arts by 4 p.m. on Monday; June 12; with title and artist name clearly marked on the front of the work and be framed with hanging wire (for 2D artwork).

Participating artists are invited to be present at the opening reception on Saturday, June 18 from 6-8 p.m.  Following the exhibit, work will need to be picked up from the gallery by Tuesday, August 15, 2016.  The ‘In the Moonlight’ exhibit is sponsored by F&M Community Bank and supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board.
